Besuch Werkstatt-Tagung an der Alanus Hochschule
On 18 and 19 September 2025, the workshop conference of the Empirie AG working group of the Commission on Early Childhood Education (DGfE) took place at Alanus University, with a particular focus on research methodological approaches in times of transformation.
Our team of the EFRE project DIPA-KOM attended the workshop with a joint presentation in context of the connection of education and computer science: “Children as ‘users’ in the digital world – discovering new, interdisciplinary research approaches”.
As an interdisciplinary research team specialising in early childhood education/media education AND computer science (DKE), our aim is to combine, develop and test theoretical and methodological approaches from these fields, to identify gaps in research and practice, and to view the mutual influence between these research fields as a win-win situation. This involves ensuring compatibility with societal policy frameworks to facilitate the transfer of findings into practice (see KMK, Saxony-Anhalt Education Programme, Federal Child Protection Act [SGB VII], UN Convention on the Rights of the Child).
With the use of an interdisciplinary approach and its methods we want to set the focus and priority on the individual perspectives of the children.
